Reproductive Psychiatry

Your mental health matters, and you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Whether you’re trying to conceive, adjusting to pregnancy, struggling with postpartum emotions, facing the ups and downs of perimenopause, or managing PMDD, I am here to support you with care that truly honors your experience. I provide integrative, evidence-based reproductive psychiatric care that respects your choices, listens to your concerns, and helps you feel more balanced and understood.

I believe in whole-person, culturally humble care that respects your choices and works in partnership with you. Whether we explore holistic approaches, medication, or a combination of both, my goal is to create a treatment plan that feels right for you. I also collaborate with your existing care team, ensuring you receive the best possible support.

Postpartum Mental Health

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or disconnected, know that you are not alone. I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental care for postpartum depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and mood fluctuations so that you can feel more like yourself again. I can assist with psychiatric medications during breastfeeding.

Anxiety and mood disorders during pregnancy

Pregnancy can be an emotional rollercoaster, and while many expectant parents feel some level of stress, persistent anxiety, panic attacks, or depression can make this time especially difficult. Whether you are worried about your baby’s health, struggling with sleep, or experiencing mood swings that feel out of control, I offer integrative treatment options that prioritize both your well-being and your baby’s.

Perimenopause

As hormones fluctuate during perimenopause, many women experience anxiety, depression, irritability, brain fog, and sleep disturbances. These changes can feel frustrating and isolating, but they don’t have to define this chapter of your life. Whether through hormone-free strategies, supplements, or medication, we will find a plan that supports your emotional well-being during this transition.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)

If your mood drastically shifts before your period—leading to severe irritability, depression, or emotional distress—PMDD may be the cause. This is more than just PMS; it’s a serious condition that can impact work, relationships, and daily life. Together, we can explore medication, lifestyle changes, and holistic approaches to help you find relief and stability.

Pre-existing Conditions

Some individuals experience worsening symptoms of bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or anxiety due to hormonal fluctuations at various points in their reproductive journey. If you are struggling with a psychiatric disorder that is impacted by hormonal changes such as pregnancy, postpartum, or perimenopause, I offer specialized care to help manage and alleviate your symptoms, empowering you to feel more balanced and supported.

Trying to Conceive

Trying to conceive, dealing with infertility, or experiencing pregnancy loss can bring intense emotional highs and lows. Feelings of grief, sadness, anxiety, and uncertainty are common, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. I offer compassionate mental health care for those struggling with infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, or the stress of various treatments. My goal is to support your emotional resilience, no matter where your journey takes you.
